Rosaline, Romeo's previous love, is compared to the moon. Juliet is metaphorically compared to the sun. Therefore, Romeo is expressing his love towards Juliet, showing that Rosaline is long gone. ~Official Oyster;) *DONT FORGET TO GIVE ME A TRUST POINT!*

Juliet appears in the 3rd Season of LOST.
they were never together. he went to juliets fathers masqerade to see rosaline and saw Juliet and thought she was better looking and would make a better love.
he is sad because the girl he is supposedly in love with before he met Juliet who is juliets cousin rosaline had taken a vow of chasity which means that she can never be with a man.
Before the Balcony scene, Romeo compares Juliet to Rosaline by stating that Juliet's beauty outshines that of Rosaline and makes him forget all about his previous love for Rosaline. He expresses how Juliet's beauty has captured his heart completely, in contrast to Rosaline who rejected his love.

Rosaline is Juliet's cousin and Romeo's crush before he sees Juliet. He had a thing for Capulet women.
At first, he is love sick with Rosaline, his neice, but when he attended the Capulet's ball, he instantly forgets about Rosaline and is deeply in love with Juliet, a Capulet.
Her name was Rosaline. Rosaline wasn't interested in him. (No, she was not a nun. The idea of someone expressing romantic interest in a nun would have been even more offensive back then than it is now, unless she was from that other kind of "nunnery" videlicet a brothel.) Romeo didn't so much love Rosaline as fall in love with the idea of being in love with her. That meant he could mope and moan and talk in incessant oxymorons, and never have to make any hard choices or sacrifices for the woman he loves.
At first Romeo liked Rosaline but when he saw Juliet at the party he completely forgot about Rosaline and fell in love with Juliet.
romeo and Paris / rosaline and Juliet
Yes, Romeo's feelings for Juliet are more passionate and intense compared to his feelings for Rosaline. With Juliet, he experiences true love, while with Rosaline, it seems more like infatuation. Juliet inspires Romeo to be more mature and responsible, while Rosaline's rejection leads him to despair.
Rosaline is the girl that Romeo loved before he met Juliet. She is only in the beginning of the play and she is only mentioned; she doesn't actually say anything. Romeo chooses to go to the Capulet's party because he thinks he will see Rosaline there. Except Rosaline doesn't love Romeo back
Romeo had hoped to see Rosaline at the ball. Rosaline was a girl that Romeo liked before he meet Juliet. Except Rosaline doesn't love Romeo back
