∙ 13y agoThe answer is in the question. Geo means Earth and Thermal means Heat. So together it means heat that comes from the earth.
One example is a geyser of hot steamy water that shoots up like Old Faithful.
Other examples are just pools of hot hot water that are heated by volcanic or other hot rocks.
