Imaginary?

"Homogeneous" comes from the Greek words "homo" meaning "same" and "genus", which is related to type or composition. So "homogeneous" means "same composition". "Homogeneous milk", for example, is milk that has been so thoroughly mixed that the cream can't "rise" and separate from the rest of the milk.

The universe is NOT "homogeneous" by any stretch of the imagination. There are vast expanses of empty space, enormous nebula of tenuous gas and dust, rocks, asteroids, planets and stars. And all of these material objects are each different and unique.

What is the big bang theory and what does it tell us?

The Big Bang Theory present the theoretical premise for the causation, termination, and continuation of an evolutionary expansion of the universe. The Big Bang promotes that the universe is Time bound (or has a finite existence), that the universe is expanding (within the dimensional limits of Space and Time), that the universe is evolving a set amount of matter and energy while it is expanding over time, and that the universe is homogeneous and isotropic with respect to Space and Time. What is the difference between the big bang theory and the geocentric theory?

The "geocentric theory" refers to the discarded notion that the Earth is at the center of the universe. The Big Bang theory is the model that explains how the universe is basically homogeneous in all directions, and that there is no topological center or preferred place of observation in the universe.

What did Giordano Bruno discover?
