There hasn't yet been an established name. The manufacturer of the ride that breaks the record thinks of the name at the time they make the coaster. So when a 500+ foot tall coaster comes out, we will see!

How many customers per day ride a roller coaster?

This depends on the roller coaster. Some roller coaster can get up to 2,000 riders per hour, which means they can handle around 50,000 riders per day! But other ride with 500 riders per hour would get around only 10,000. Plus breakdowns and park hours limiting when the ride is open, about 5,000-25,000 every day.

Can you ride a roller coaster at 7 weeks pregnant?

I would not recommend riding a roller coaster. The force of a roller coaster is almost the same as the one that astronauts experience on a rocket. Plus you will probably squish your belly in the safety seat or you may not be able to pull it down far enough to be safe. A merry-go-round or a Ferris wheel are safe to ride on.

How much do roller coasters cost?

If you take a look at www.rcdb.com (Roller Coaster Database) it includes the prices of a few roller coasters around the world. Top Thrill Dragster, a 420 foot Accelerator Coaster designed by Intamin AG, cost Cedar Point $25 million. A much smaller roller coaster called Spongebob Squarepants Rock Bottom Plunge, being constructed in the Mall of America (set to open in March 2008) cost $2.9 million. It was designed by Gerstlauer Rides.

When a roller coaster moves what do it helps to overcome friction?

Gravit & speed. Coasters usually start with a long climb up a steep incline. This gives the 'cars' potential energy. Once they go over the top (or brow) of the incline, gravity takes over, increasing the cars speed.
