First it's a technique of playing the bass made famous in the seventies. The bass pretty much makes a "bow chica wha wha" sound within an insane bass line. Bassists, who are perfect examples of this are John Entwistle(The WHo) and John Paul Jones(Led Zeppelin). Both are probabaly considered two of the greatest bassists. I've also heard this term used to refer to using a pedal while playing the electric guitar. In fact there are guitar pedals sold referred to as "bow chica wha wha" pedals. It gives a pretty awesome distorted sound. Slash and Hendrix both use pedals.-especially prominent in "Sweet Child O' Mine" solo. Socially, bow chica wha wha is used after someone says something sexual-meant to coin the sound of the bass line. Can also be used as a term to refer to sex. It's also in Phineas and Ferb, a dumb show.
