In the simplest most universal form, love is electrons, hormones & synapses firing a billion times a second, that our brain has developed to help us form a bond that helps us find a mate and form a terrible, wonderful, ugly, beautiful bond that allows us to pass on our genes. On a different level it is a passion for things in our life that makes us give ourselves to causes & things unseen. Some love their dog, some love a 53' Corvette, movies, music, trees, mountaintops, others love Football & yet others love oils and pigments assembled in patterns on canvas. Some will give their entire lives to the study of something that they believe is worthy; Religion, engineering, art poetry, sex, drugs, rock & roll, Hate of others that are not like them. Love seldom makes sense, sometimes makes beauty and other times is ruinous to some or many. Love has no weight and no substance, but gives some the energy, insight, wit and wisdom to achieve greatness and beauty, others take that same energy & learn to fly airplanes into buildings in order to show themselves worthy of the love of a man that lived once and is gone. Love is perverse & unreasonable & you are as close to understanding it as anyone, live your love! At it's finest, love creates beauty & brings the best out in us at it's worst it makes us destroy the things that others love. Of course I could be wrong.
