Kids are tractable and can be easily frightened, ( for example Boogeyman tales, Monsters under the bed, etc) Parents and other influential adults ( Teachers, sadly) can make fun of a child over something that is not his fault ( a handicap, for example) and this is a borderline case. remarks like ( You act like a Mental Retard!) or similar are typical- far more serious are the uncontrolled antics of a parent under the influence of alcohol or drugs- anything can come out- literally and this fits into the category of psychological abuse. Given the generaly optimism of kids ( as reflected by belief in, say Santa Claus) the abuser sometimes makes grandiose promises- and attempts to con the tot into bizarre action. One molester accosted a young girl- started buying her feminine underwear ( which this kook used in part for masturbatory objects) then seductively worked his pitch. the victim told it well to Police- ( Uncle Floyd ( a TV character by the way, they often use alias like this) said he"d get me a Job in a Carnival if I played along with him in the Motel room... waaayyy out! and so it goes. Caution is indeed our trump card in avoiding child molesters. Mnay come on as really (Friendly) or sugar-daddy types, then recklessly pursue their own perverted goals!

What's your excuse for child abuse?
You must retain an attorney immediately and get a restraining order if you suspect any kind of abuse that involves a child. The stepparent has NO right to be in the presence of children unless that is the stepparent's home, then the child should NOT be there under ANY circumstances.
The school calls social services to report child abuse not the parents. Specially if the child abuse is being done by the parent.
The legal definition of child abuse can be complex and is determined by state law. Many states have included forms of "emotional abuse" under their definitions of child abuse, so you can imagine how tricky that interpretation can be. Note also the difficulty state legislatures have had in respecting religious practices that rely on prayer or other alternatives to traditional medicine, particularly when the subject of the alternative approach is a sick child. For a more definitive answer to your question, find your state's statutes on the internet and do a search using the terms child abuse or neglect.
I would believe that this answer is based off of a personal opinion. However, I would say that the second worst form of child abuse besides physical would be mental. Mental can cover anywhere to physical, verbal and emotional abuse.
Yes and no. Child abuse can take many forms. But the result, or the impact it has on the child, is emotional and psychological. The forms child abuse can take are emotional child abuse, psychological child abuse (also referred to as mental child abuse), and physical child abuse.

Child abuse should never be legal because it causes serious physical and emotional harm to children. It is a violation of their rights and can have long-lasting negative impacts on their development and well-being. Legalizing child abuse would go against the principles of protecting and safeguarding children's safety and welfare.

I THINK IT STARTS IN THE HOME AND AS THEY GET OLDER THEY MIGHT GROW OUT OF IT BUT THEY MAY NOT BECAUSE THERE HAS TO BE A REASON WHY THE CHILD IS MENTALLY ABUSING THE MOTHER.THE CHILD MAY HAVE SEEN SOME OTHER CHILD DOING THIS TO THEIR PARENT AND THINKING ITS OKAY OR THE MOTHER HERSELF WAS BEING ABUSED IN FRONT OF THE CHILD SO THE CHILD IS EXPRESSING THE SAME MENTAL ABUSE BECAUSE THE CHILD THINKS ITS OKAY.THIS CHILD NEEDS TO GET INTO SEE A THERAPIST FOR SOME HELP.
