Who is Dori Dilson in Stargirl?

Dori Dilson was Stargirl's best friend at Mica High. In Love, Stargirl, Stargirl says to Leo [in her 'World's Longest Letter' to him], "Some of the kids at Mica High turned against me. Some turned away from me. Dori was the only one who did neither."

What is the theme for love Stargirl?

Love Stargirl is about Stargirls life after Leo. It is told in a very long letter to Leo. It is after she moved away. It is her life and all the people she meets in the year she moves there. It is really good and I love it and you should read it. (But if you haven't read Stargirl first)

Who is the antagonist in the book Stargirl?

There really is no one antagonist, though at times it seems as if the entire school is against Stargirl. Her odd behavior makes her, really, a rather easy target, and eventually people have no qualms about using her as a scapegoat. That's antagonism.

What was the irony of the end of stargirl?

The plot is that a weird girl named Stargirl comes to Mica High. At first everyone thinks she's really strange because she wears exotic outfits, plays a ukulele, and sings happy birthday to people during lunch. Then, after a cheering incident, everyone one starts liking Stargirl. She joins the Cheer squad, but cheers for Mica and the other teams. Leo and Kevin decide to put Stargirl on Hot Seat while shes the most popular in order to get the most views. Unfortunately, Hillari brings a group of her friends and start yelling insults at her. After that bad experience, Stargirls popularity starts decreasing. During this time, Leo and Stargirl start going out. Stargirl teaches Leo a lot, but the entire student body at Mica High starts to shun them. Leo can't handle being shunned, so he asks Stargirl to become normal for him. She does and starts going by her real name, Susan. This plan doesn't work. So Susan decides that if she wins the oratorical contest, then she will become popular again. She does end up winning, but doesn't become popular. Susan gives up and goes back to being Stargirl. This makes Leo upset and they break up right before the Octotillo Ball. Stargirl still goes to the ball, but Leo stays home. At the ball, Stargirl requests the Bunny Hop and she starts a conga line of all the students at the ball (except Hillari and Wayne). The conga line goes out into the desert and no one returns until a some time has passed. When they do return, Hillari slaps Stargirl for "ruining everything". Stargirls only reply is a kiss. Then Stargirl leaves. She ends up moving away, never to be heard of again.

How do the characters of Leo and Star girl compare and contrast to one another?

STARGIRL IS CONFIDENT ,MYSTERIOUS, AND UNPREDICTABLE. ONE EVENT SHOWING HER COURAGE WAS WHEN SHE STARTED SINGING AND PLAYING HER UKELELE DURING LUNCH IN THE CAFETERIA IN FRONT OF EVERYONE. THIS SHOWED HOW SHE WASN'T SHY AND THAT SHE DIDNT CARE OF WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THOUGHT OF HER. THE NEXT EVENT WHICH SHOWED HER MYSTERIOUSNESS WAS WHEN LEO FOLLOWED STARGIRL AFTER SCHOOL AND SHE PUT A CARD IN A MAILBOX SAYING CONGRATULATIONS BUT SHE KEPT WALKING. THIS SHOW HOW SHE DOES RANDOM THINGS IN HER FREE TIME THAT LEO DOESNT UNDERSTAND. THE LAST EVENT EVENT DESCRIBING HOW SHE WAS UNPREDICTABLE WAS HOW EVERYDAY SHE WORE SOMETHING DIFFERENT AND ABSRACT. THIS SHOWED THAT SHE DIDNT CARE IF SHE DIDNT FIT IN . LEO IS **T**HREE WORDS TO DESCRIBE LEO ARE CURIOUS, SELF CONSCIOUS, AND SELFISH. ONE EVENT SHOWING HIS CURIOSITY WAS WHEN HE ASKED STARGIRL IF SHE CARED ABOUT HOW PEOPLE THOUGHT SHE WAS DIFFERENT. THIS SHOWED HOW HE WAS CURIOUS ABOUT HOW STARGIRL THOUGHT. THE NEXT EVENT WHICH SHOWED HIS SELF CONSIOUSNESS WAS HOW HE NEVER SAT WITH STARGIRL AT LUNCH BECAUSE HE THOUGH EVERYONE WOULD SHUN HIM. THIS SHOWED THAT HE DIDNT WANT ANYONE TO SHUN HIM LIKE STARGIRL. THE LAST EVENT WHICH SHOWS HIS SELFISHNESS WAS WHEN HE TOLD STARGIRL THAT NOBODY LIKED HER AND TWO DAYS LATER SHE CHANGED HER NAME TO SUSAN. What is the role of peer pressure in Stargirl?

Peer Pressure plays a very big role in Stargirl; in fact it's one of the dominant themes. For example, Leo tried to change Stargirl to be like everyone else in school so he wouldn't be embarrassed to be seen with her. Stargirl, the most unique character in the story, fed into peer pressure at one point and abandoned her outlandish style to fit in with the rest of the student body. The moral of the story is to be yourself regardless of how other people may react or perceive it because if you're not yourself, then who are you?

What did Stargirl do for her community?

I can not recall everything but one, which is my absolute favourite part, was when stargirl takes pictures of a boy's life. She takes pictures of him playing street hockey and all. She writes about his life. And the reason for that is that she will give it to him when he is older. She says: (not the exact words) : "Don't you ever wonder what you were like when you were a kid?" To Leo, "He will be greatfull for this"
