Justin Henry was 8 years and 276 days old when he was nominated in 1980 as Best Supporting Actor for his performance in "Kramer vs. Kramer" (1979). He broke the record held by Jackie Cooper, who was 9 years and 20 days old when he was nominated in 1931 as Best Actor for his work in the movie "Skippy."

Henry did not win the Oscar, which went to 79-year-old Melvyn Douglas for his performance in "Being There."
