What is the beginning of the 'The Chronicles of Narnia The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe'?

C.S. Lewis was a very religious man. he wrote the books to teach small kids about bible characters and their ways. Though the characters are not named as characters in The Bible they relate to them. Besides that, the children in the book are forced to a world were animals can talk and were witches are evil. These four children must stop the evil white witch and brake her spell over the world called Narnia so that peace will be restored in the land. On their way they meet fauns, beavers, dwarfs, and other mystical animals.

It starts with the Pevensie children and their mother running from their house to a bomb shelter. Edmund turns around to get a picture of their father and Peter runs after him, yelling at him for being so irresponsible. However, this scene is not how the book begins. The book actually starts with a rather quiet explanation of why the children had to be sent away from their parents, or evacuated, to live in safety in the countryside during the war.
