Best Assault Rifle Acr has no recoil, fast shooting, and is good with pretty much any attachment

Best Sub Machine Gun Ump45 good damage, great silenced. MP5k P90 Uzi I like sometimes but I never use the Vector

Best Light Machine Gun *i never use these so dont get mad* RPD L86 LSW Damage and good with grip

Best Shotgun M1014 range with semi-auto Spas12 best range but every shotgun is good but the striker sucks

Your best bet on World at War or Black Ops would be using the random box.

Keep trying until you get one of the following;

A form of light machine gun (Browning is a good one). They tend to be able to mow down Zombies. Upgrading these with the Pack-A-Punch can make them very deadly.

Ray Gun. This is an alien weapon which you get out of the Random Box and is one of the most powerful weapon. It contains over 150 rounds (And Max Ammo also affects it) and kills zombies in one shot.

Wanderwaffle. This is a sort of lightining alien rifle. Again, a very powerful gun but ammo wise it falls short slighty so save for certain occasions. When you shoot a zombie it will insta-kill them causing them to shake and explode but it jumps from one zombie to the next so causes a chain reaction which makes this gun just as deadly.

ThunderGun. This is Black ops only. It basically flings all zombies in front of you and kills them. Lovely =]
