There isn't really a best power crystal in the game. It all really depends on how you want to play. The easiest way to find out which would be best for your style of playing, is to use the cheat code "Hurrikane" to view all the crystals. You can't save after you use this cheat, so it's no good for completing the game, but it can help you decide which one you want.
