If you're talking about battery sizes like AAA, AA, C, D and 9V, Ni-MH (Nickel-Metal Hydride) is the most common one, and as far as I know the only type in these sizes other than the now obsolete Ni-Cd (Nickel-Cadmium). Li-ion (Lithium ion) batteries have also been introduced in these sizes, but they have a significantly higher voltage and thus are not usable on regular battery-powered devices out of the box.
The highest capacities for Ni-MH based batteries are something like this:
AAA 1000 mAh
AA 2900 mAh
C 5000 mAh
D 8000 mAh
There are also newly-developed Ni-MH batteries with low self-discharge (LSD) like Panasonic Infinium and Sanyo Eneloop. These kind of batteries are particularly suitable for low consumption devices like clocks and remote controls, but they're also good for devices drawing high currents such as digital cameras. They apparently used to have a lower capacity than ordinary Ni-MH batteries, but currently the two types are pretty much on par. The LSD batteries can be marketed as "pre-charged" or "ready-to-use".
The one that is right for the application it is being used in. I can't be more specific because there are too many engineering variables, both in the battery designs and applications. Often the best battery doesn't even exist and something else that is available is used while new better batteries are developed.
There are many different types of batteries available in the market based on the needs, the main types include Alkaline,Carbon Zinc,Lithium Cells,Silver Oxide cells,Zinc air cells to name a few. Unfortunately there is no single battery technology available in the market which is ''The Solution'' for all classes of portable battery operated devices.
The most common type of battery used in personal electronics are alkaline and carbon zinc batteries. They comes in different sizes including AAA, AA, C and D. AA and AAA are the most common.
Generally, yes, although it depends on a number of factors. A general way to answer your question is through demonstration: do cell phones (which run on rechargable batteries) charge while on? I've never seen one that doesn't, and the same applies to laptops. As long as the apperatus can be plugged in while battery is still in use, it probably can.
Frozen batteries last longer unfrozen batteries.
Yes. Any type can be charged on any Charger. Even San Diego Chargers.
Take off the back cover of your phone, and take out the battery. The battery should say what type it is.
they use rechargable batteries
The best is to get rechargable batteries for the Wii Nunchuk. You can use AA batteries, but they die quickly.
You can only recharge rechargable type
The best rechargable battery with the longest life span would have to be the new Hybrio rechargable batteries .
Lithium rechargable batteries are excellent but be prepared to spend a bit more on them.
no
Yes, almost all keyboard batteries are rechargable. However, you'll need a rechargable batteries for it.
If you get rechargable batteries you can make any radio rechargable.
The Sanyo Eneloop rechargable batteries are considered to be the best.
The most type of rechargable batteries are Duracell and Energizer. They have some good rechargeable batteries. Energizer just came out with two good new rechargeable batteries.
The most popular digital photo frames use built-in rechargable batteries.
Rechargable batteries are a good option for CO@ detectors, please make sure you cahrge them regularly.
