What is the best way to make a movie and say your 18 years old?

It depends on how you want to release it. Personally, I think the most affordable and highest quality (best value) camera for filmmaking is the Canon T3i. It was originally a still camera for photographers but Canon made it into an amazing video camera by accident with its movie shoot mode. It takes gorgeous videos. Of course, if you're strapped for cash, you can try raising money for free on Kickstarter.com. Just make sure you have a solid idea and a good proposal.

I recommend a shotgun microphone that has a long cord so you can put it on a cheap $20 painter's pole from a hardware store. Works great! The microphone will cost you about $200 for a good one. Then get a ZoomH4n recorder (for the audio), about $180 if you get it cheap and a good tripod for about $180 that has fluid (very important it is fluid) head so you can get smooth side to side movements. If you want super professional camera train track moves, you can buy a slider for another $100 that mounts on top of your tripod that simulates tracks.

For editing, if you want cheap, easy to use and semi-professional, buy Final Cut Pro X on the Apple Store (if you have a Mac) or if you want much more professional, get Adobe Production Premium CS6. If you are a student at a certain higher education schools, you can get Adobe for about the same price as Final Cut.

Then you have all the bare necessities. Most importantly, the key to a good movie is start with a good plan, a great script and storyboard it based on locations you know you can use. This will save you hundreds of hours down the road depending on how long the movie is. Plan it out on a calendar and don't be afraid to film it out of sequence, because you can edit it later.
