That depends on the particular desert. Antarctica has seasons that are cold and others that are bitterly cold. The Gobi Desert and the cold deserts of North America, such as the Great Basin, can get quite hot (100 degrees F or more) in the summer and drop to well below 0 degrees F in winter. Other cold deserts remain fairly comfortable all year long.
