That would depend upon the specific desert. Some deserts are hot deserts and the temperature can reach very uncomfortable levels. Some deserts, such as the Patagonian Desert of South America, are cool, almost cold, even in summer. Others, such as the Atacama Desert, are pleasantly warm but not hot in the summer. Of course, the Antarctic Desert is very cold, even in summer.
