That is the way most anime is...just like in full metal alchemist and fruits basket...the manga version if much diffrent than the anime version...i think its because when the anime creator took over the story they probably had to make changes to make it work how they intended and they probably threw in a few filler episodes too...X_X Well the manga version is more soft and subtle whereas the anime version is brighter and more angular. Take Sesshoumaru for example. In the manga he looks very much like a young girl in the face. But in the anime his features are sharper and more masculine to make him look more heartless and cold.
Well Inuyasha is a half demon while edward in twilight is a VAMPIRE. Theres a whole lot of things that are different between these two. Inuyasha at first was an evil demon who killed people(mostly demons) for fun. He didn't really have a heart until he met kagome. Edward is different because he never killed anyone (kinda), and he's been good since the day he became a vampire. Well, almost all good.
