The indian group which lived far north?

Many. In our far north we know of at least three groups the earliest were the Dorset people. We think they lived up there since very shortly after the ice retreated from the last ice age, which means thousands of years. They were then replaced by the Thule. Now when we say "replaced" or "displaced" what we really mean is likely a genocidal war. Which sounds terrible today but was par for the course in all areas of the world. The Thule were replaced by today's Inuit.

Did Erik the red interact with natives?

Yes, Erik the Red, the Norse explorer, is believed to have interacted with the indigenous peoples of Greenland, specifically the Thule culture, which was present in the region during his time. Historical accounts suggest that Norse settlers encountered these native populations, and there were instances of trade and conflict. However, the extent and nature of these interactions remain somewhat unclear due to limited archaeological evidence and historical records. Overall, while there was contact, the details of these interactions are not thoroughly documented.

How did the inuit adapt to the harsh climate of Alaska and Canada?

Not all Inuit lived in Alaska. It is thought the tribes originated in Asia and came across the ice to North America but the Inuit of North America live across the continent. Tribal lands include the north coast and islands of the Canadian Arctic, Greenland and down the east coast of Labrador.

What are the names of the Indian tribes in Canada?

Some of the tribes located in the far north include: The Inuit The Inuvialuit (descendants of the Thule of Russia) The Yupik The Innu (Northern Quebec) The Dog Rib The Inupiat (Alaska) This is by no means an exhaustive list and hardly does the Northern Indian tribes justice as the tribes are more complex in their relations and origins than can be described here. What were the resources for the fur traders?

Obviously furs but they sold or traded many things for furs, usually tools such as guns, shovels, axes and knifes, sewing needles and stock like wool cloth, blankets, cotton, linen, cooking pots, pans, plates, and just about anything anybody wanted. If you had something to trade, they could get it, even a piano if you had the furs.
