Exposition: Introduction of characters (simba, Nala, Sarabi, Mufasa, Scar, Ed, Eddie, Shenzi, Zazu, and Rafiki), plot (scar hates his brother (Mufasa), shadowy place, Simba will be king, ect.

Climax: Scar sets up so that hyenas kill Mufasa but they fail so they send Simba into a canyon where they cause a stampede of wildebeest. When Mufasa asks for help, Scar pushes him back down where Mufasa died under the hooves. Simba is sent away into the desert and that's where you meat Timon and Pumbaa as Scar takes over Pride Rock.

Rising Action: Nala chases Pumbaa for food and Simba defends him until finally they realize it's them. Nala begs for him to come back saying Scar destroyed everything. Simba refused until Rafiki convinces him to go back.

Falling Action: Simba and Scar fight. Just when Scar thinks he has won, he confesses to murdering Mufasa. Simba then leaps in a surge of energy, yelling "MURDERER!" and Scar begs for his life.

Resolution: Simba forces Scar to admit to the murder but he blames it on the hyenas which gets them rallied up. Simba tosses Scar off a cliff surrounded by flames with no escape as the hyenas tear him to shreds.

Inciting Event: Scar causes Mufasa's death nand convinces Simba it's his fault. To me, this is the inciting event because it's what disrupts the status quo and creates a conflict that needs to be solved: who will rule the Pride Lands, and will Simba survive and fulfill his destiny as king, or will he stay away and choose not to confront his guilt/duty?

Rising Action:

• Simba ignores his past and lives a carefree life while Scar rules the pride Lands brutally and ineffectively.
• Nala, seeking food for starving lions in the Pride Lands, runs into Simba. The two reconnect and Nala challenges him to take responsibility for his role as rightful king.
• Simba struggles with his identity and gets guidance from Rafiki/Mufasa.
• Simba decides to return and confront Scar
• Simba confronts Scar and Scar lies and claims Simba killed Mufasa. The lions are temporarily shocked/suspicious.
• Scar and Simba begin to battle

Climax: The climax is the point of greatest tension in the story, when Scar whispers into Simba's ear, "I killed Mufasa."

Falling Action:

• Simba springs back into the fight, starts winning, and forces Scar to confess that he killed Mufasa.
• The lions and the hyenas join the fight
• Simba gives Scar a chance to leavde. Scar pretends to agree then throws ash at Simba. Simba throws Scar off a cliff, where the hyenas have their revenge after all of Scar's manipulation and abuse of power.

Resolution: Simba is restored as rightful king, and the Pride Lands welcome an heir that Rafiki raises skyward just as he did Simba in the exposition, bringing the story "full circle."
