The feather represented the fate of each human, does it randomly blow in the wind or do we as individuals steer its direction. Gump decided it was a little of both. I think he may be right.

How much of the Forest Gump movie is true?

Very little. Forrest Gump the movie was based on a novel by Winston Broom, which is classified as fiction. The inspiration for the novel was a real man named Samuel Davis, Jr. I believe the real Forrest had a form of autism. He was also a war hero. Forrest Gump, the movie, did revolve around many true historic events in American life from the 1950's through the 1980's.

What actually happened to Jenny in the movie Forrest Gump did she die from AIDS?

By todays standards a sophisticated name. In old English times he who came from the woods usually came with craft and survival methods of living and teaching. of old English decent. Transferred use of the English surname which arose in the 13th century in the form of de Foresta (of the forest): hence, "dweller or worker in the forest." The name Forrest has been interpreted as meaning....for rest. One of rest, selected for or to receive other meanings of the name Forest/Forrest - immense, very calm, sedative. variety, tranquility and abundance. It means provider. supporter of life. or cradle.

Are they making a new Forrest Gump movie?

There can't be a sequel to ''Forrest Gump'', because all the problems were already resolved at the end of the movie. ''Forrest Gump'' is in essence a love story, as well as a "finding yourself" story: Forrest spends decades trying to win Jenny over, and he finally does. They have a son together, and even though Jenny dies, Forrest is at peace with himself because he finally won her love, and because he has a piece of her left to live for (their son, Forrest Jr.). At the beginning of the movie we see the lone feather drifting through the breeze. This feather symbolizes Forrest. He spends his youth roaming around, going wherever life takes him, trying to find his place in the world. At the end of the movie, after Forrest puts Forrest Jr. on the bus to school, we see the feather again. This time it symbolizes how things have come "full circle" to the end. Forrest has found his love, and his place in life (back at the house he grew up in, raising Forrest Jr.). The feather also symbolizes a new beginning. Forrest Jr. is beginning the same path his father took (the same path we all follow) to find his own place in life. The only possible sequel, then, would have to be about Forrest Jr.'s life. But again, since all the themes and issues that were explored in the movie are resolved at the end, it does not easily lend itself to a sequel. Any sequel would have to invent a whole new set of problems for Forrest Jr. to overcome. Since there is no mention of any such problems in the original movie, this would be unavoidably contrived. I disgree with the person answering above . There is a sequel in book form called Gump and Co. It chronicles the adventures of Forest and the raising of his son. I have not read the book, but I read the summary on the back of the book. I used to won it, but never got to actually read it. I am not sure what happened to it. So there is a possibility it could be made into a sequel. Interesting. I am curious to know what it could possibly be about, because I just don't see any way of continuing the story without running into the classic sequel problem: that a truly good movie/book resolves everything at the end and thus there is nothing more to write about. Edited later to add: I've been thinking, and actually, I stand by my original answer. I don't think there can be a sequel to the movie ''Forrest Gump''. The fact that there is a sequel to the book is really moot, since the book and the movie are very different. For example, Jenny doesn't die in the book. She lives to form a band with Forrest in the sequel. Big plot changes like that make a world of difference. The movie really can't have a sequel, because it wrapped up everything neatly at the end, and the book didn't. The book left itself open to a sequel. I came across this information that contradicts what my collegue states above about no sequel and Jennys fate in the sequel book. Also, it would show Forrest raising his son in the 80s and 90s. There have been sequels made with less plot concept. The sequel's storyline keeps to the storyline of the immensely successful '', by having Jenny die. A film adaptation of the book is planned to be released in Christmas 2012.

Can a feather form in a diamond after time?

If by "after time" you mean once the diamond is on your hand, the only way that a feather can be formed is if there is a catalyst to the occurrence ... by this I mean, for example, if a diamond was hit or damaged it could act as a catalyst to an interior feather spreading inside of the stone.
