A film review typically begins with an engaging introduction that includes the film's title, director, and a brief overview of the plot. The body of the review examines key elements such as acting, direction, cinematography, and themes, often supported by specific examples. The review should also convey the reviewer’s personal opinion, highlighting what worked well and what didn’t. It concludes with a summary that may include a recommendation and a rating, if applicable.

A thesis statement in a film review helps to clearly communicate the main point or argument you will be making about the film. It guides the reader on what to expect in the review and helps you stay focused on analyzing specific aspects of the film. Having a strong thesis statement can elevate the quality and effectiveness of your review by providing a clear direction for your analysis.
A writing FORMAT is what the writing looks like.
When writing a literature review in APA format, key components to consider include organizing sources by themes or topics, summarizing and synthesizing information from various sources, citing sources properly using APA style, and providing critical analysis and evaluation of the literature.

When writing a scientific review paper, the proper format to follow typically includes an abstract, introduction, methods, results, discussion, conclusion, and references sections. The paper should also include a clear thesis statement, a critical analysis of existing research, and a synthesis of the findings. Additionally, it is important to cite sources properly and adhere to the specific formatting guidelines of the target journal.

I found two examples of the APA format for Literature Reviews. American Psychological Association Style Works a2 www.owl.englis.purdue.edu. At this site there is a lab as well as the format and explainations of what each part should be about and look like.
