Among the "big three" (CBS, NBC, and ABC), the evening newscast (usually broadcast at 6.30 pm) tends to get the biggest ratings. Brian Williams of NBC and Diane Sawyer of ABC are either #1 or #2 (the NBC nightly newscast was #1 for a long time, but in 2013, ABC overtook it on a few occasions). On cable, Fox News' Special Report with Bret Baier is highly rated, but it does not get as many viewers as the NBC and ABC evening newscasts do. Typically, NBC's nightly news draws more than 7 million viewers; Bret Baier's program averages nearly 3 million viewers.
