It's about a group of children who live in a fictitious town in Maine called Derry, which among other problems, has a history of an alien who takes the guise of a clown from the turn of the century named Pennywise who eats children for sustenance. The little brother of the leader of this group of children gets murdered by Pennywise whom then sets his sights on the rest, but they are able to fight him off through their combined strength and friendship. Fast forward about twenty years, they are now older, but are called back to Derry by their friend Mike who is the only member of the group that stayed behind in their hometown, to tell them that a rash of child murders has begun and it has the telltale signs of Pennywise so they all go reluctantly go back to Maine to fight again…all with the exception of one friend whom kills himself out of the fear of facing Pennywise again. They are slightly diminished, but nevertheless go back and face the clown, and ultimately save the day. "DON'T YOU WANT IT?!?!?!"
