Rudolph the red nose reindeer, had a very shiny nose, (Like A Lightbulb) and if you ever saw it, you would even say it glowed. (Like A Disco Ball) All of the other reindeer, used to laugh and call him names. (Like Pinocchio) They never let poor Rudolph, join in any reindeer games. Then one foggy Christmas Eve, Santa came to say: "Rudolph with your nose so bright, won't you guide my sleigh tonight?" Then all the reindeer loved him, as they shouted out with glee: "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, you'll go down in history!" (Like George Washington)

In the original 1964 broadcast Yukon Cornelius is searching for a peppermint mine, although he tells Rudolph and Hermey than he is looking for silver or gold (his story changes throughout the film). Subsequent telecasts and all video releases used a re-edited version, cutting Yukon Cornelius discovery of a peppermint mine near Santa's workshop. All references to this mine were also cut from the film.
