That would be the absolute zero of Bad Taste. Very few films deal with Terminal Illness as a plot device- and still fewer with dying tots. One notable exception was The Christmas Tree. ( don"t be fooled by the title) It had environmental subthemes. Dad and Kid are out fishing and a freak bomber accident occurs, the crashing plane dumps toxic materials into the lake- it was some type of chemical weapons test run awry- well the kid contracts Leukemia and fortunately, the parents ( not affected by being adult and having developed immune systems, my guess) are Supportive. It starred William Holden and Virna Lisi as the parents, and a child actor. The child died in the end. The title has nothing to do with the film, unless by analogy a control panel on a submarine ( or maybe on the doomed bomber)- which has red and green lights- hence the term). Not Holiday fare, period. It was released around September of l969.
