Technically if you calcuate inflation numbers Gone with the Wind grossed more money than any other movie in the world since it grossed over $198,655,278, but this was during the depression when tickets were like 5 cents each so by far Gone with the Wind is the highest grossing movie of all time, Titanic and Avatar have grossed alot of money but we're talking about ten dollars a ticket, compared to 5 cents

They filmed the movie in Mexico, and when the people were just laying in the ocean after Titanic sank, James Cameron (writer, director, producer of Titanic the movie) filmed it in Baja Studios, Mexico in a water tank so don't feel sad.
