The Iliad, which tells of the beginning and of the Trojan War. The accompanying epic is The Odyssey, which tells of Odysseus' journey home to Athens after the war.
Achilles was killed by Paris during the Trojan War. Paris was Helen of Troy's kidnapper whom was the woman who caused the Trojan War. Paris was described as to being a cowardly individual whom had no intentions of fighting and was why he used his arrows. He shot Achilles in the heel, that's where Achilles heel' came from. Some say that Apollo, whom was on the Trojan's side, assisted in directing the arrow. Paris probably most likely killed Achilles because Achilles was the Achaean's (Greeks) best fighter and to avenge his brother, Hector's, death.
Achilles was not the lover of Helen during Troy (there is a myth that after death they became immortals on the White Isle and married), her husbands were Menelaus, Paris and Deiphobus
Sons of Helen of Troy included Nicostratus and Plisthenes(by Menelaus) Aganus, Corythus, Bunomus, and Idaeus (by Paris) and Euphorion (after death and became immortal, by Achilles in the Islands of the Blest)

He was the prince of Troy, as in the story of the Illiad. After giving the golden apple of beauty to Aphrodite, goddess of beauty/love, he was transformed into Menelaus, king of Sparta/ husband of Helen of Sparta, and kidnapped Helen, which started the war of Troy. Later he shot Achilles in the heel with a posion arrow. (Achilles is invicible except in the heel) I forget why but Paris died outside of Troy in a forest. (Also, unlike the movie "Troy" Helen never loved Paris.)
