Her name is Claudia. Louis found her in her house clinging to her already dead mother. Her mother had been consumed by the Black Plague, but Claudia was too young to understand. She cried to Louis to wake her up and hugged him. Louis was hungry from only eating rats and bit her. He tore away in realizing what he had done, but the damage he caused to her was already done. Lestat found her and brought her back to his house to "heal" her. When Louis saw her, he felt better that he didn't kill her. But Lestat had his cruel tricks and Turned her. She took to Louis as a father figure and to Lestat as a mentor and teacher.
