thea brody [embeth davidtz] is now 18 and is pregnant. she is a senior in high school and one day her classmates john and kristy sneak to a near by lake at recess for some skinny dipping. john falls asleep while kristy takes off her clothes and jumps in. kristy is devoured by a great white. john wakes up not knowing what happened to kristy. thea has the baby the next day. she names him william. soon, school gets out. thea leaves william with babysitter, lizzy so she can go skiing with margaret, her BFF who appeared in jaws 4 and 5. right before she gets on the ski, she reminds margaret about what happened on the bananna boat when they were 5 and her mother. while shes skiing, thea does a wipeout and is killed by the shark that ate kristy. lizzy adopts william. after theas death, margaret and john go on a boat to kill the shark. margaret is devoured and john blows the shark up.
