The quickest way to get to France would be by Train via the Chanel Tunnel, or by a fast Ferry that operates between March until October from Portsmouth to Cherbourg. If you live be Dover, the Dover to Calais ferry would be an option too. I have also found a flight listed from Bristol to Dinard Airport. I hope this has helped you.

  • Take a ferry across the Channel. The busiest route is from Calais to Dover, but there are some other routes to the west.
  • Take the Channel Tunnel. Basically, at the terminal in Calais you put your car onto a large train. The train travels through the Channel Tunnel underneath the sea, and emerges at Dover, where you drive off.
  • Take a passenger train. The Eurostar service travels through the Channel Tunnel and links London directly to Paris.
  • Take the plane.
