What is the relationship between Rin and Sesshomaru in the series Inuyasha?

Their relationship is quite complicated yet innocent. If u watch the TV series or read the manga you will know that Sesshomaru hates humans and yet he likes Rin. I think it is simply because Rin is so determined to be apart of his life that he allows it. But I also think he likes her and sees her as a little sister because there is a few occasions that he saves her life. Hope this helps you. Basically they r friends/family. There relationship is innocent.
