Although 'Tomorrow Wendy' was made a hit by Concrete Blonde, it was in fact written by Andy Prieboy (of Wall of Vodoo Fame.) Reportedly, it was written in regard to the AIDS epidemic & the homophobia that surrounded the issue (originally known as Gay Cancer.) 'Wendy' was presented to argue the misperception that only gay men suffered from the disease.

"It is complete now, two ends of time are neatly tied; a one way street, she's walking to the end of the line & there she meets the faces she keeps in her heart & mind, they say 'goodbye, tomorrow Wendy, you're going to die" regards the way that most people saw HIV as an automatic death sentence.
