What is the standard height for a shower faucet?

1.90 meters is the standard, but from experience that will be quite low as some shower head droops down to -2" or -3" from the pipe.

Standard height for a showerhead is 6'-6" to 6'-8". I prefer the high side of that tolerance. A valve for a shower only is put at about 48", a valve for a tub/shower is put at about 30", with the tub spout about 6" to 8" below the valve. The only 'code' requirement (at least around here) is a minimum 1" air gap between the tub spout and the flood level rim of the tub.

I design hotels for a living and all showerheads in new hotels are installed at 6'-8" above finish floor. That is the location of the connection at the wall. The shower head pipe will have a bend in it that usually puts the head itself and around 6'-4"

Consider the convenience of use for all potential users.

A 1m high mixer valve is easy to reach for most users including wheelchair users.

A shower head at 1.9m is a convenient for most users. A better solution is a shower head on a flexible hose with a slide fixing allowing adjustment from say 1m-2m as this will suit more users.

Note that the height should be measured from the finished floor level. Sometimes the Plumbing is installed before the shower tray, and the thickness of the tray is not considered, which results in a slightly lower than expected height for the fixings.
