If you see the picture from the beginning, while crew members are clearly identified- the name of the vessel is not. some promotional literature put out by Disney and a toy model-- a model with sound effects to add play value, had the name Ulysses- but this is never mentioned in the film. The submarine does NOT make or attempt to make radio contact with other vessels- even the tender that drops it off. My Guess U.S.S. Aphrodite II ( Greek goddess of Love) would be a good name for such an experimental craft.
Nautilus
In Plato's account, it is because Atlas - the first son of a set of five twin-kings, is ruler of Atlantis and the Atlantic sea; his mother is Kleito, and his father Poseidon.
Atlantica
There were 5 sets of twins called Poseidon's first born

Not in real life. The submarine Ulysses searched for Atlantis in Disney's 2001 animated film "Atlantis - The Lost Empire".
Atlantis is not a God but Poseidon's first born child's name was Atlas so the Empire and the surrounding ocean was called atlantis
The people of Atlantis were called Atlantians!
Nothing. Atlantis is a myth Dead

The submarine is manned by the crew, and crew members are called submariners.
The 'helmsman' steers a submarine.

To a mythical place called Atlantis there are none. There are several undersea sites of sunken cities which may be the root of the myth of Atlantis.
Atlantis is strictly a myth.
