About 40 people live there in the summer and about 20 in the winter.
Scott Base
The Ross Dependency is part of Antarctica. It is important because it is where the southernmost unfrozen water will be found. In our summer naturally. Ross Island is a smallish island in the Dependency, which is home to the USA's McMurdo Base, and NZ's Scott Base. In summer quite large ships may dock at McMurdo to unload supplies for the other stations in the interior of Antarctica. Other stations so supplied are Amunsden-Scott Station at the South Pole, Scott Base, and in summer various temporary science camps. Actually territorial claims to Antarctica are in limbo, since the Antarctic Treaty does not recognize them. Christchurch is the airport most commonly used for air transport to Antarctica, though Invercargill has occasionally been used. Both can take very large planes.
Im pretty sure he plays base
We run on NZ Standard Time which is 12 hours ahead of Greenwich. The Chatham Islands are 45 min in advance of that. We have 1 hour of daylight Savings (aka Summer Time) as appropriate.Scott Base in Antarctica (and the adjacent US McMurdo Base) run on NZST for business transaction convenience, but all scientific records are kept in UT. (Universal Time).

Casey, Mawsom, Scott Base and Davis
I am not in Casey base. But I am typing about Casey base!
Nations representing 80% of the Earth's population have established and support research stations on Antarctica, From each of these, several field camps can be established during the working summer season. There is no 'one' base camp on the continent which is as large as USA and Mexico, combined.
You can find Casey Station using these coordinates: 66° 16′ 54″ S, 110° 31′ 28″ E.
From its Wikipedia entry:"Casey Station is a permanent base in Antarctica managed by the Australian Antarctic Division (AAD). It lies on the northern side of the Bailey Peninsula overlooking Vincennes Bay on the Budd Coast of Wilkes Land in the Australian Antarctic Territory."
Casey Base was named after Richard Gardener Casey who was an Australian Politician.
Casey base is south of Australia.Did you know that computer?
Japan has four research bases in Antarctica, all of which are located in Queen Maud Land, northern part of the continent.
There are two research stations on Ross Island: McMurdo Station (USA) and Scott Base (New Zealand). Depending on the time of year, the population may be in the low hundreds up to about 1,200 in the busy summer season. This population is completely transient, made up of temporary workers and scientists studying the health of planet earth.
The largest base -- by population -- may be McMurdo Station, which is supported by the United States of America.
Australia took Wilkes Station over from the USA in 1959. When it became evident that Wilkes would be buried by deepening ice, work was commenced on Repstat in 1964. It was renamed to Casey Station when it became fully operational in February 1969, when the old Wilkes station was decommissioned. Casey station is a permanent base in Antarctica managed by the Australian Antarctic Division (AAD). It is located at 66° 17' S, 110° 32' E on Vincennes Bay[?]. The purpose of Casey Station is for Conservation, Environment, Industrial or Scientific Research, Surveying or Mapping and Earth Sciences.
