The plot of Forrest Gump is quite simple. Gump, due to the fact that he is not the 'sharpest knife in the drawer', with a lower than average IQ, sees the world in mostly black and white. He is uncomplicated in his approach to all things. But karma works for Gump. While he doesn't have a great number of true friends, the ones he does make, he keeps until death.

The luckiest are the ones that are his friends. They learn much more from him than he does from them. Too bad we aren't all a little more Gump-like.
