That all depends on where you are. South Africa is a country, not a small town, so temperatures vary from region to region.

For example, in the northern and north-eastern areas (bushveld and lowveld) daytime temperatures in June are normally in the 20-30 degrees celcius range, with nighttime in the low 10's.

In the central region (highveld) winter temperatures range from 0 C to 20 C (min and max)

On the eastern coast the winter temperatures are usually more temperate, with minimums around 10-15 C, and maximums about 20 C.
