Turkey has had a presidential system of government since 2018. The presidential system in Turkey is in many aspects similar to the presidential system of the USA. For example, the turkish president can issue decrees, appoint ministers and veto laws. The difference is that the separation of powers is inadequate and the courts are sometimes unable to act independently.
