People in India live in Houses, in a similar way of their household income/ city or village they live/ climatic conditions/ type of family (joint family or satellite)....people living in cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune etc prefer to live in Flats/ Apartments. People who have good Income in these cities, prefer Independent houses. People living in B grade cities like Mysore, Mangalore or Vadodara prefer to live in individual bunglows... Those who have Ancesteral home and are a joint family live in the Ancesteral homes which usually has lots of Rooms(but without much of privacy) ..Such homes will have One common Kitchen..Dining Area and Common Bathroom (usually at a short distance few yards) from the home.
