Copper-based green is the paint used on the Wicked Witch of the West in "The Wizard of Oz."
Specifically, character actress Margaret Hamilton (December 9, 1902 - May 16, 1985) played the Wicked Witch of the West. Four hours each day had to be spent just on applying the make-up to Margaret's face and hands. Margaret ended up hospitalized when a fire in one of the scenes got out of hand and burned her face and hand.
