Without gravity everything would fly off into space, including us. Gravity keeps the planets in orbit around the Sun, and keeps the Moon in orbit around the Earth. Without gravity, we would be weightless.

Why isn't gravity pulling the universe back together?

gravity is a force that pulls us on to the ground and earth makes the gravity. In space there is no gravity (scientist call this zero gravity) so gravity isn't pulling the universe back because there is no gravity outside planets.

Why is the universe nonlinear or lumpy ie why is all matter not evenly spaced?

Gravity makes it lumpy.

What was the role in gravity on shaping your universe?

Gravity played a crucial role in shaping our universe by bringing matter together to form stars, galaxies, and other structures. It continues to govern the motion of celestial bodies, shaping the evolution and dynamics of the universe on a cosmic scale. Without gravity, the universe as we know it would look vastly different.

What is calculated to be responsible for the accelerating expansion of the Universe?

This calculation is based on the fact that we can measure the lights emitted during an explosion of a supernova in the Universe .The red light spectrum measured during this explosion , among others , indicate that the galaxies are accelerating away from each other at a higher speed . But the big question is why ? Why is the Universe expanding and with that we mean why are the bodies within the Universe moving faster and faster towards the unknown . The answer this question we have to use two methods. First , the effect of gravity within the Universe on all bodies that is in the space like Galaxies and by using a common sense approach towards this complex material . The expansion of the Universe is thanks to the force of gravity , the same gravity we experience on earth but at a much bigger scale. So big that we as humans can not understand how this is possible or where it is originated . Based on my theory, I can inform that the galaxies are accelerating faster and faster as they approach the what I call , the gravity source. The farther the galaxies are from us ( the Earth ) , the faster they are moving away from us. Why ? Because these galaxies are approaching the gravity source. Some call this gravity source, dark matter ( they use this name because they don't know what it is ) . A galaxies does not move on their own energy in the Universe, no...the galaxies use the energy of this gravity source as the fuel to spin and move them into the space of the Universe. All galaxies are moving to the same target. It is not so that one galaxy goes left and the other one goes right. No, in the Universe the law of gravity rules and it works in a constant and organized way .In our solar system the gravity source is our Sun. Thanks to the Sun our planets can rotate around the Sun due to the sun's gravity energy . It is this same type of gravity energy that makes our galaxies spin and move . Again , the farther the galaxies are, the faster they are accelerating because they are attracted by the gravity field of this gravity source. There is no other theory that can proof this one to be wrong. It is the only logical explanation why the Universe is expanding . So, the next question is what is this gravity source that is responsible for the expansion of the Universe made of ? Where is it located within our Universe ? I will answer this in my next answer it session . Greg Falconi

Center of universe?

The center of a volume of mass, is its' center of gravity. As the universe is the greatest volume possible, and contains all mass, and gravity originates from mass. If the volume of the universe is "unbound" the center of gravity, for the mass of the universe would be everywhere. As all gravity in the universe, can originate from, only, the mass in the universe, and the whole must equal the sum of its parts. The gravity of the universe is only shown through the diameters of the volumes of masses, within it, as a center of gravity. The mass of the universe as seen through a diameter of a volume of mass, as gravity.Theoretically, in geometry,1 point has no volume. the 0 dimension;2 point, makes a line, the 1st dimension;3 lines make an area, the 2nd dimension;4 areas make a volume, a 3rd dimension;5 volumes make a time, a 4th dimension;6 times could make a 5th dimension?7..."?!"As the greatest volume is the universeand the smallest volume is a point. There must be 3 other volumes,to make the 5 necessary for time, to exist. As a volume can only exist within a greater volume,Then between the point and the universe there must be 3 other volumes, such as,the inaccessible cores of atoms, stars, and galaxies. The sum of which, all contained, in unbound volume, gives this universe gravity, and a center of gravity, that is everywhere, but only is detectable through the diameter of a volume of mass.

What makes the water moves?

Gravity makes water move. The moon has a constant gravitational pull on the earth keeping the earth in place in the universe. When the moon's gravity pulls on the earth, it affects the water because, it is the most porous substance on the face of the earth. Hopes that answers it.

What makes the things fall?

Where is the majority of the mass concentrated?

The majority of Earth's mass is concentrated in its core, which is composed mostly of iron and nickel. This dense core makes up about 33% of Earth's total mass and accounts for much of the planet's gravitational pull.

Is gravity a living thing?

i guess not but the mass and energy in the earth makes gravity. I guess... the energy and mass in the earth makes gravity.

What is a gravity longboard?

Gravity is a company that makes longboards.

What is gravity and what does it do on earth?

Gravity is the force of attraction between all masses in the universe; especially the attraction of the earth's mass for bodies near its surface. It makes matter (any object that has mass) pulled towards earth's center and somehow put things in order.

Why does space do not have gravity?

It does but due to the size of the universe, it doesn't have much effect on small things only large things like planets. Imagine a table cloth held on by each corner above the ground. This is the universe. Put an apple on it. This is a planet. The apple makes a dent. This is gravity. Put grapes on the cloth. These are smaller planets. They are drawn to the apple. Put a soccer ball on the cloth. This is a very large planet. Everything moves towards it. Gravity.
