"You Really Got Me" was written and originally released by The Kinks in 1964, but the Van Halen cover from their debut album in 1978 is probably the best-known version of the song.

The song the started it all for this band was "You Really Got Me." Other songs that are best known include "All Day and All of the Night", "Tired of Waiting for You", "Sunny Afternoon", and "Lola". The Kinks are one of the original bands of the British Invasion that included The Beatles, The Who, and The Rolling Stones. Unfortunately "hit songs" imply those that got the most air play and The Kinks got very little. I would encourage anyone to just get a Kinks album, any album, and listen to it. Before you know it you'll be wanting more and telling your friends.
WOMANif it is the one with the boy and girl rocking out on their gutiars, it is The Song: "Woman" by the Australian band Wolfmother. this song is featured on the new Guitar Hero II game. the other commercial features, the song "You really got me now" by the Kinks, and Van Halen
The Kinks were a rock band in the 1960's and 1970's that were based out of England. One of their more famous songs was "Waterloo Sunset." They were also known for their songs, such as "You Really Got Me," "Long Tall Sally," and "Lola."
