There are many things that make each Province and/ or Territory in Canada unique. British Columbia in particular is unique because of it's large mountains, and weather. It also is located near great bodies of water.

Actually there are many countries in the Northern Hemisphere that have fewer lakes than Canada. Canada has lots of lakes. Really a lot.

...All of them. Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut are all in northern Canada. In a way, it's what makes them territories, as the difference between a territory and a province has mainly to do with population (and not a lot of people are eager to live in the far north).
