Yes and No. If you were still trapped inside the ship, the amount of water and the pressure of it would have killed you instantly. If you were on the deck and jumped off or got sucked down with it you could have survived if you knew how to swim. But also the water was below freezeing so the more you tried to swim and move the faster you died. Many people were still in the water when the ship went down. Only like 6 were rescued from the water.
