The easiest Pokémon game to catch Larvitar is Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver. In these games, Larvitar can be found in the Safari Zone after obtaining the National Pokédex. This allows players to encounter it more reliably compared to other titles where Larvitar is found in more challenging locations or only in specific conditions. Additionally, the Safari Zone offers a unique chance to catch Pokémon without battling them directly, increasing your chances of capturing Larvitar.

The answers is yes and no. In red and blue that was never thought of so it cant work there. For all the games after, yes would be the answer. The easiest way is to catch a DITTO and then put it and the starter in the daycare. They usually take 2 Pokemon so it will work
If you have a master ball use it when you see him. Another way to catch it is if you use mean look on him. It will prevent him from scaping. Just be careful not to faint him because he is lv 35. And if you faint him just turn off the game and try it again. Hope this helps! :)
Somewhat you can insert a gb game and you can find hoenn Pokemon plus there are pleeny of diffrent Pokemon
In gold and crystal for sure, maybe silver. . . . You can catch it on gba by a special event.
Silver/Gold/Crystal However, you must first catch a Larvitar.

Larvitar does not naturally appear in the wild in Pokemon Pearl. In order to get one, you will have to trade for it.you have to trade with either a gba game or diamond and 2 catch 1 on diamond u have 2 have a national pokedex
by specially coloured i assume you mean shiny. you will have to search for larvitar normally -- slightly south of the town on seven island. shiny Pokemon are incredibly rare, and as larvitar is rare in itself, you will have a hard job finding one. there is no 'special way' to catch a shiny Pokemon, you just need to search for Pokemon and the game MIGHT throw one up at you randomly. most people never find a shiny unless they cheat.
Not initially, but once you beat the game you can play as any Pokemon you've recruited to your team, including Larvitar.
In Pokémon Ruby Destiny, you can catch Larvitar in the area known as the "Ruins of Alph." It typically appears in the wild at specific times and conditions, so be sure to explore thoroughly. Additionally, Larvitar evolves into Pupitar at level 30, which can be beneficial for building your team. Remember to check the specific version of the game, as locations may vary slightly.
Trading is required since it's not obtainable in the game.
you can get the national dex from prof. birch after deafting the the elite four. then you can trade larvitar from leafgreen or firered. you can find larvitar in the seventh island in leafgreen/firered
Well you can't. Larvitar can be found in Mt. Silver or you may purchase one from Celadon game corner for a mere 8888 coins
I don't think that you can...seeings how its a Jhoto region Pokemon.Do remember, once you beat Pokemon Colosseum/Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness you can trade Pokemon over to Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald if you have a purified Larvitar. But I don't think you can actually catch it IN GAME though.
1) complete game then go to the sky pillar and catch it at the top floor 2) trade for it with friends, family, etc. 3) hack
The ones in the beigining of the game.
