He's not the real Dr.Beckett. He is a clone made by Michael. He was found by Colonel Sheppard when he was on Michael's hive searching for Talya.
Yes - currently in production, "Stargate: Extinction" will feature actor Paul McGillion as Dr. Carson Beckett.
I am not sure if you mean medical doctors or other, so I'll list both (just for Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis though). Medical Doctors: Stargate SG-1: Dr. Janet Frasier was doctor until she died in the episode Heroes part 1 and 2 in season 7. They brought in General Landry's daughter (Dr. Carolyn Lam) in season 9 and she was still the doctor in season 10. Stargate Atlantis: Dr. Carson Beckett was doctor until he died in the episode Sunday in season 3. They bring the character back later as a clone made by Micheal. In season 4 and 5 they have Dr. Jeniffer Keller. Other Doctors: Stargate SG-1: Dr. Daniel Jackson is an archeologist and one of the main characters for seasons 1-5 and 7-10, along with the movies. Colonel Samantha Carter is also a main character and has a Phd in astrophysics, but is never referred to as a Dr. because she is military. Dr. Bill Lee is in about 20 episodes (maybe more, maybe less) and he is also a scientist. Stargate Atlantis: Dr. Rodney Mckay and Dr. Radek Zalenka are main scientists in Atlantis (Rodney is a main character and Zalenka isn't though). Dr. Elizabeth Weir is also a doctor, but she is not a scientist. Instead she is the leader of Atlantis and back on Earth she negoitiated peace treaties. Weir dies in season 3. There are a couple other medical and other doctors in Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis that appear in 1 or 2 episodes, but I am not bothering to name. Hope this helped.
Kindred, Part 1 season 4,ep 18
Every member of SG-1 except Jonas Quinn have died and come back to life in SG-1. But the character Dr. Daniel Jackson has died and been resurrected more than anyone else on the show.
