You can also go to the old chateau and catch a gastly. Get it to level 25 and it will evolve into haunter. From there, go to GTS and choose "deposit Pokemon". Ask for a level 100 Pokemon (you can choose any Pokemon). Then select "seek Pokemon". Trade one of your Pokemon (it doesn't matter which Pokemon you trade or get) .Then go back to "deposit Pokemon" and choose "take back". when you get back your haunter, it will evolve!
