∙ 14y agoYes, there are unsavory touches of Witchcraft and an unsavory negative character is made to appeal charming in disguise- the wedding sequence. a Minister is shown being sexually aroused and being something of a negative character, bald and visually impaired like some ex-scientist type. ( i happen to wear specs for over 40 years). also there is a heavy dose of Paganism. It comes out allright in the end- the original the Girl dissolved into the water ahead of schedule- in part as punishment for race-mixing, not nice for Atlantean girls to make love to Vikings.- woosh! she looses her voice before the dies- so cannot scream for help. original was a tragedy.
