All sitcoms need sound affects! Whenever someone says a punchline, there is always laughter in the background. Whenever someone says something heartfelt or sad, there would be an AW (but not loud) in the background. And most sitcoms I have seen is where 2 or more groups of main characters have their own story and at the end their stories meet. For example:

Good Luck Charlie:

Teddy meets her ex boyfriend at the ski lounge asking her to take him back. She says no, walks away and the camera goes to the next group.

Amy and Bob are fighting because they weren't actually married in the first place and Bob wants to wait until they go home to wed. Then Charlie, the baby, has HER first crush on another baby. Then the camera goes to ANOTHER group!

PJ goes down a hill that isn't a ski trail and once he reaches the bottom two girls take him in. PJ tells the girls stories and once he sends him to the kitchen to make smores, their father comes in, shoos PJ out, PJ run to the ski lounge, and that is Where the all of the stories meet! AT THE END! Bob and Amy are married at the ski lounge and Teddy and PJ are there! Why? Because it is a sitcom!
