need a better description. the total height of shower and number of tiles may be helpful 5 ft over the tub. you may want to go a little higher to get a good cut around that shower head. Make it ez on yourself and make the height so ya get full tile(less cuts) that is if your going over the tub,if its a full walkin stand up shower go to the ceiling and tile the ceiling too. line it up with the walls or do a diagnal/diamond pattern on the ceiling so ya dont have to worry about lining it up. lay it out on the floor to see where your cut will be at 5ft.
Generally 1.2 m from the base of the shower
Depends which code your using ADA / barrier free design or local codes? In a shower stall figure 3' 6" - 4 feet
Twelve inches from the top of the spout to the shower floor.
48 inches high from the floor Answer: This height can vary depending on how tall a person is. Generally speaking, a towel rack should be about chest height for a bath towel rack mounted near a shower. For a hand towel rack that is mounted next to a sink, normally it should be about 15-20" above the cabinet.
Sweden has no heights stipulated but instead has regulations for enough room for a wheelchair and a helper.

I would tile up to the pan where it sits. If you remove it, you will have to tile completely under it so it stays level and raise the drain. If it is in the basement or or over a finished ceiling this can be a problem. If there is a vanity, I would remove it and tile under because is is much less hassle and gives a better result.
yes that's what i did.
